The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to partner with our Data Practice within the Digital Services department, driving impactful digital transformation projects for prominent public sector organizations across Ireland.
Our Data & AI practice projects include data migration, data engineering, data analytics, advanced and predictive analytics, data science (ML & AI), generative AI in data analytics, and business intelligence.
You will lead cross-functional teams in project planning and execution, delivering outstanding results for our clients. This position combines strategic resource management with hands-on project leadership, focusing on process improvement and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee end-to-end project delivery, from scoping and planning through to execution, reporting, and closure.
* Define project objectives and deliverables, aligning team activities and managing communications with stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
* Drive issue resolution, facilitate change management, and manage project releases.
Resource & Capacity Optimization
* Assess upcoming project needs and forecast resources demands based on project priorities, timelines, and skill requirements.
* Regularly review resource capacity and adjust forecasts and allocations to accommodate shifting project demands.
Financial Performance & Cost Control
* Manage project budgets, focusing on revenue generation and margin maximization.
* Implement financial controls and optimize project costs, ensuring adherence to billing, revenue, and margin targets.
Process Improvement & Compliance
* Ensure adherence to PMO standards and refine delivery processes to uphold standards and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain strict oversight of Jira process standards and enhance project governance frameworks.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
* Contribute to practice-level strategy, ensuring projects are aligned with organizational objectives.
* Produce regular performance reports, track key project metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Management
* Collaborate with public sector clients to understand their digital transformation goals and deliver value-driven projects.
Employee Engagement & Team Collaboration
* Cultivate a positive, collaborative work environment by addressing team challenges and fostering open communication.
* Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, support continuous learning, and encourage a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven record of delivering complex projects and managing resources.
Demonstrated ability in resource planning, budget management, and margin optimization.
In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and reporting on key project KPIs.
Exceptional leadership abilities, including strategic thinking, conflict resolution, negotiation, and strong relationship-building skills.
Proficient in MS Project and Jira, with experience delivering software development and data practice projects.
Experience in project governance, including adherence to PMO standards and risk management.
PMP certification required; Change Management certification preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must be residing in Ireland.
