Hospital Chef – Limerick

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary and nutritional guidelines.
* Lead or support daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high standards.
* Follow all HACCP, food safety, and cook-chill protocols.
* Oversee food storage, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
* Monitor portion control, allergen awareness, and food presentation.
* Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams on menu planning.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and HSE-compliant kitchen environment.
Requirements:
* QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent chef qualification.
* Previous experience in a hospital kitchen, HSE facility, or high-volume catering environment.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and cook-chill best practices.
* Full legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
* Able to provide 5 years of work references.
* Strong communication, time management, and team skills.
* Flexibility for rostered weekday and weekend shifts.
Salary & Benefits:
* €20.29/hour
* Day shifts only – Monday to Sunday roster
* Double pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays
* Full support from both office and out-of-hours teams
