We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our team in Cork.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical OversightReview structural and architectural designs to confirm compliance with project requirements, industry regulations, and client specifications.Provide technical input during design coordination and problem resolution.Site ManagementSupervise day-to-day site activities covering civil, structural, and building works.Monitor subcontractors, progress, and workmanship against drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks.Project DeliveryManage projects or work packages from planning through completion, covering resourcing, scheduling, and budget control.Oversee the safe installation of steel structures, cladding systems, and related building elements.Quality AssuranceImplement inspection and testing regimes to ensure adherence to quality standards.Identify non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and track resolution.Health & SafetyPromote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with H&S regulations.Conduct site safety audits and implement proactive risk mitigation measures.Commissioning & HandoverManage inspections, testing, and final checks of structural and building components.Deliver projects to client satisfaction with complete handover documentation.Collaboration & CoordinationAct as the main point of contact between design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.Resolve site-based technical issues and maintain effective communication channels.Subcontractor & Resource ManagementPrepare scopes of work and oversee subcontractor performance.Ensure subcontractors deliver safely, efficiently, and to specification.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate site records, inspection reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.Support project planning through surveys, investigations, and design coordination.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent).Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural steel, cladding, and building projects.Strong technical knowledge with proven problem-solving ability.Experience leading subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset.Full clean driving licence (Irish/EU).Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €52,789.85-€80,701.63 per yearWork Location: In person
