Position: Credit Controller Division: Finance Reports To: Senior Financial Accountant Date Prepared: March **** Role Description: A broad and diverse role acting as a key member of the Accounts Receivable (AR') team.
The primary focus of the role will be on coordinating the billing information based on the WIP report, but the role will need to be able to provide cover to the wider team as required.
Key Responsibilities Issue the Master WIP report and attend the meetings with account managers for review and instructions which tickets to bill.
Collate all necessary billing information to add on the PTA and send email to billing inbox for invoice processing.
Process customer invoices with the necessary attention to detail.
Maintain and update PTA and other customer files.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Follow up with clients who have exceeded their payment terms.
Post customer payments daily.
Setup new customer accounts and ensure that the master data is up to date.
Assist with the credit check process on new and existing clients.
Work with the team to manage the AR inbox.
Generate month end AR reports and issue statements to clients.
Produce ad hoc AR Reports for use by the business.
Provide supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Provide cover for the AR (Accounts Receivable) team.
Work with the wider team to implement further system improvements.
Critical Competencies Conscientious with a strong attention to detail.
Comfortable dealing with a large number of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to establish good working relationships with key stakeholders.
Required Experience Degree in accounting or business (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 4+ years' experience in a fast-paced office environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with proven experience of using accounting software.
Prior experience using a Microsoft ERP is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent analytical and planning ability with exceptional numeracy skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexible and willing to work in a constantly changing environment allowing for business growth.
Capable of prioritising tasks and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
Highly organised with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Proactive and committed while supporting and motivating others.
Positive, professional, and outgoing demeanour.
