The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Senior P6 Planner to join a major construction firm working on power transmission, substations, and renewable energy projects.
This is a key role ensuring the successful planning and delivery of multi-million-pound schemes across the power sector.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for large-scale power projects (HV transmission, substations, offshore/onshore renewables).
Work closely with project teams, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate progress tracking and reporting.
Conduct critical path analysis, risk assessments, and delay mitigation strategies.
Produce detailed progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and industry best practices.
Support bid teams by developing baseline schedules and resource forecasts.
Essential Requirements: 5+ years experience as a P6 Planner within power, energy, or utilities construction.
Expert-level Primavera P6 skills (must have recent hands-on experience).
Strong background in transmission lines, substations, or renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and site teams.
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Desirable Skills: Experience with 4D planning tools (Synchro, Navisworks).
Previous work on offshore wind, grid infrastructure, or nuclear projects.
Professional certifications (PMI-SP, APM, etc.).
