Overview:
The Galway Bay Sailing Club's Training Centre is an Irish Sailing accredited facility that offers sailing and kayak courses for adults and juniors during the summer months.
Role:
This position reports to the RC Training department and is responsible to the directors of GBSC. The Training Centre Manager will oversee the development and operation of effective training related activities at the centre.
The role encompasses the duties associated with ISA (Irish Sailing Association) Centre Principal, including managing the organisation and operation of adult and junior training courses at GBSC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training System Development: Develop and maintain an effective training system in support of all plans and objectives of the club.
2. Organisational Growth: Develop and drive organisational growth plans through the provision and expansion of training centre offerings and expansion of the operational period beyond the current two months.
3. Course Marketing: Drive the marketing of all course offerings of the centre, manage course bookings and oversee daily operations of the training centre.
4. Training Personnel Recruitment: In conjunction with RC Training, identify and recruit training personnel, including completion of onboarding and implementation of a developmental programme for future seasons at the club.
5. Safety Management: Coordinate all safety management and ensure required support equipment is available for various training activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop and lead projects to achieve long-term objectives of the GBSC Training Centre, including new training programs targeting areas outside of existing offerings and expanding the training season beyond the current core summer period.
