Overview
We are looking for a Conferencing & Banqueting Supervisor to join our team on a Full Time Basis. Role is inclusive of MidWeek & Weekend Hours.
Responsibilities
* To deliver on and follow the hotel Mission, Vision & Values.
* To ensure that all service provided by you is in accordance with the department procedures.
* To ensure that staff have a particular area of responsibility and that they are monitored in this area.
* To Implement and maintain all standards of operation in the Conference & banqueting department.
* To Implement, monitor and maintain the training system for all staff ensuring they are trained to their full potential.
* To Manage and run all functions and weddings ensuring service is delivered to the highest standard.
* Allocate daily duties and responsibilities to staff.
* Conduct reviews with staff including 3 month review, 6 month reviews and annual appraisal.
* To complete a weekly rota in the absence of the department manager ensuring adequate coverage, effective holiday control and cost effective wages in line with projected business.
* To Monitor time management system in accordance with the weekly rota where relevant.
* To carry out monthly stock takes of Crockery, Cutlery and Glassware within the Department, and to minimise loss and breakage.
* To be responsible for the security of all function rooms and stocks and all monies, and any discrepancies that may occur in these areas.
* To ensure all staff are fully briefed prior to service including station allocations, special requirements, menus and debriefing.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
* To attend training sessions and ensure staff in the department attend sessions as and when required.
* To consciously monitor standards of hygiene in all other areas of the hotel and in particular, toilets adjacent to your department.
* To facilitate effective communication within the department and throughout the hotel.
* To ensure that all patrons are satisfied with the service provided by your department, in particular VIP guests and those with special needs.
* To carry out any additional reasonable requests by the management team and/or guests.
* To ensure that all storage areas and fire routes are kept clean, tidy and hazard free.
* To ensure all equipment, furniture, fixtures and fittings are maintained to a high standard.
* To comply with all legal regulations pertaining to Health, Safety, Fire & Employment legislation.
* To assist staff and guests with an emergency evacuation of the hotel in accordance with Hotel Evacuation procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
* Experience of working within a supervisory role in a 4 star + hotel setting.
