To achieve this, we are recruiting for a new role; Director of Commercial Developments and Partnerships.
About the role:
Iapi is recruiting a Director of Commercial Development and Partnerships who will be responsible for driving growth across membership and partnerships for the association.
This pivotal role to ensure IAPI has a compelling and distinct member value proposition, a robust commercial strategy, and sustainable income streams through membership, and partnerships.
The person will work directly with the CEO in collaboration with the member services team.
Responsibilities
Membership Growth and Strategy:
Develop and deliver a comprehensive membership growth strategy to increase both the number and diversity of the organisation.
Define and articulate a clear member value proposition that resonates across the creative and communications sectors and ladders up to Iapi's purpose, vision and mission.
Create and proactively manage a pipeline of prospective members, supported by actionable engagement and conversion plans.
Commercial Development:
Review and optimise the membership subscription model to ensure it is sustainable, equitable, and resilient to market shifts.
Identify and pursue new revenue-generating opportunities aligned with the organisation's mission.
Ensure that all commercial initiatives, including events and services, deliver strong return on investment and contribute to the financial resilience of the organisation.
Acquire and manage sponsorships for key initiatives, programmes and events, ensuring mutual benefit and value delivery.
Develop robust partnership proposals, valuation frameworks, and agreements to secure long-term collaboration with industry stakeholders and brands.
Oversee development of compelling collateral and communications to engage potential and existing members and sponsors.
Work closely with Iapi's Director of Member Services to ensure commercial activities are aligned and effectively promoted.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide strategic input as part of the senior leadership team, contributing to organisational planning and growth priorities.
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, representing the association at industry events and forums.
Coordinate with the member services team to maximise impact for Iapi's members.
Experience and Skills
Proven track record of driving commercial growth within industry including sponsorship
Understanding of the creative and communications industry landscape
Expertise in business development, partnership management, and commercial negotiation
Experience developing valuation and pricing strategies, as well sponsorship frameworks
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, creativity, and commercial acumen

Package details
Basic salary range is €55,000-€60,000 plus performance related bonus based on growth targets
Pension scheme, Hybrid working arrangements and 30 days annual leave
