Purpose of Role
The CTO (Ireland) is responsible for ensuring that the technology supporting Trading 212 Ireland and its clients is resilient, scalable, secure, and operated in a manner appropriate to the business's size and complexity. The role involves working closely with both the Irish team and the wider group’s technology teams to achieve these objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Provide oversight and assurance of outsourced technology services, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security, with regular reporting to the Board.
Ensure resilience against technology and security failures.
Maintain compliance with EBA’s Digital Operational Resilience Regulation, including establishing and maintaining the “register of information”.
Drive technology changes to support effective operation and service delivery.
Contribute to the group’s technology and security programs, including vendor management.
Act as the local IT contact, providing daily support to Trading 212 Ireland employees.
Coordinate with the Central Bank of Ireland on operational resiliency and related queries.
Recruit and manage a small team responsible for information security and IT support.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Degree or professional qualification in IT or related field.
Previous leadership experience as Head of IT, CTO, CISO, or similar.
Experience in financial services (preferably MiFID investment firms) is desirable.
Existing or previous PCF-49 title is a plus but not essential.

Committee Responsibilities
Participate in Risk and Compliance Committee and present MI at Audit Risk and Compliance Committee meetings.
