Responsibilities
1. Act as the PCF-14 for thepany, overseeing all risk matters and liaising with the regulator where necessary
2. Develop and implement a Risk Management Framework (RMF) in line with MiCAR requirements and industry best practices
3. Identify, assess, and monitor key risks, including operational, technology, cybersecurity, fraud, transaction processing, and third-party risks
4. Establish and maintain risk assessment methodologies, including Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
5. Lead the development of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to enhance operational resilience
6. Oversee incident management and response processes, ensuring timely incident mitigation and reporting.
7. Collaborate withpliance, finance, IT security, operations, and other stakeholders to enhance risk controls and mitigation strategies
8. Prepare and present risk reports to the Board, Riskmittee, senior management and regulators.
9. Ensure adherence to regulatory expectations, including risk-related reporting obligations under MiCAR and the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI)
10. Drive a strong risk culture across the organisation through training, awareness programs, andernance mechanisms
11. Conduct risk assessments for new products, services, and third-party relationships
Requirements
12. Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, or a related field
13. 5-8 years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, orpliance within financial services, fintech, or crypto-related businesses
14. Strong knowledge of MiCAR, EU regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks
15. Experience in implementing risk management tools, frameworks, andernance structures
16. Familiarity with financial crime risk, IT/cybersecurity risks, and third-party risk management
17. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
18. Excellentmunication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
19. Ability to work independently as part of the founding startup team in Ireland, supported by the global CoinJar group
20. Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or a relevant risk qualification are desirable.
21. Able to abide by the CBI standards and fulfil the fitness and probity test of the regulator
