General DescriptionThe function of being a Warehouse Assistant is to ensure that the company warehouse operates in an efficient, responsive, and effective manner. This individual is responsible for maintaining all warehouse systems (Internal Database – the warehouse management system, Barcode scanning system etc.) in real time and upholding high operational standards. Please note, Forklift experience is essential for this role.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Demonstrate GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) & GDP (Good Documentation Practice) in all aspects of their work, ensuring high standards are maintained and that all procedures and specifications are followed.Monitor and control all warehouse inventory by completing routine cycle count activities and maintaining accuracy across all inventory levels.Support commercial and non-commercial production through process of material and movement ticketsMaintain a FIFO (First In, First Out) system in the Warehouse and maintain systems to proactively identify and flag inventory expiry risks.Maintain minimum inventory levels of raw material, consumables, and cleaning agents at point of use.Replenish all cleanroom supplies on a daily basis (i.e. gloves; wipes; mop-caps; shoes etc.)Ensure sufficient volumes of point of use 70% IPA and 99% IPA are available as required.Complete necessary inventory transactions on the Inventory Control System (Internal Database) in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.Co-ordinate and complete the receipt and dispatch of goods, including finished product and sample shipments within GMI.Operate the forklift and pallet track for removal or loading of items in line with H&S guidelines.Builds pallet configurations according to appropriate documentation for sterilizationSelects finished goods parts from bins using a pick list (identifying the specific part number, lot number, quantity and location of all items on an order) to fill the customer ordersEnters orders into computer database using a bar code scanner to scan the order number on the pick sheetPackage orders according to specifications or knowledge of shipping practices to prepare the package for labelling and distribution to the customerExamine shipment containers at the time of delivery for any damage and verify the accuracy of information listed on the packing slips, invoices and freight bills by opening the packages and visually inspecting the contents in order to ensure accurate deliveriesRecords shipment information using the carrier services systems (UPS, DPD etc.) and methods for shipping traceabilityTo complete specific GMI warehouse duties as follows:Empty bins as required; bale waste recyclables; replenish hygiene consumables in gowning room; replenishment of supplies in the canteen; ensure chemical store is always safe and tidy.Maintain the warehouse, yard, and material pass throughs to high housekeeping standards.Knowledge and Education Requirements:Applies knowledge of MPI, procedures and practices, along with a basic understanding of department fundamentals.Candidates must be educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.Skills and Abilities:Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Access, Excel.Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to work independently or in a collaborative manner as part of a cross departmental teamAbility to adapt easily to changes in business needs.Ability to work overtime when required.Excellent communication skills in English (business language), both written & verbal.
