An experienced Test Analyst is required to join a QA Test Team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable and proven recent test experience within the Financial Services industry. This role operates in a hybrid model, combining office-based and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop structured test plans based on functional requirements.
* Create comprehensive test cases for various testing types, including System, UAT, Integration, Regression, and Service-Oriented Testing (manual and automated).
* Manage and prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects with tight deadlines, coordinating cross-team collaboration.
* Operate efficiently in an Agile environment, setting realistic and achievable project plans and timelines.
* Deliver QA objectives and targets successfully in a remote working setup.
* At least 5 years of experience in QA and software testing.
* Proven experience in testing within the Financial Services industry (Life and Pensions sector preferred).
* Hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Testing.
* Proficiency in interrogating SQL server databases, with the ability to develop SQL queries.
* Familiarity with bug and issue management tools relevant to this role.
* Experience with test case management tools.
* Exposure to Cloud-Based Testing and Testing AI is an advantage.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
* Effective communication and influencing abilities.

* Results-oriented with a drive for achieving targets.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Education & Qualifications:
* ISTQB or a similar qualification is desirable.
* An IT-related qualification would be advantageous.
