We now have vacancies for Store Managers in 2 of our stores; one based in Limerick city and one based in Ballycasey, Shannon, Co.
Clare About the Role As Store Manager, you will be responsible for running the pharmacy store as a successful commercial business while maintaining the highest standards of customer care and regulatory compliance.
You will lead and support the store team, working closely with the Supervising Pharmacist and Operations Manager to ensure the store consistently delivers excellent service, strong operational performance, and sustainable growth.
This is a leadership role where you will have real impact on team development, store culture, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities Business Commercial Performance Take ownership of store performance including sales, margin, payroll, and operating costs.
Deliver against store targets and implement action plans to drive growth.
Identify opportunities to grow OTC retail, front-of-store categories, and prescription and dispensary sales.
Manage stock, inventory levels, ordering, and waste control.
Monitor performance reports and make data-driven decisions to improve results.
Customer Experience Lead a customer-first culture across the store.
Ensure every customer receives professional, friendly, and efficient service.
Respond to feedback and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Maintain a welcoming, community-focused store environment.
Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team including supervising pharmacists, pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy counter assistants.
Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and team meetings.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
Build strong collaboration between the retail team and dispensary.
Operational Excellence Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations aligned with company procedures.
Maintain excellent merchandising standards and store presentation.
Implement best practice workflows and operational improvements.
Compliance Governance Work closely with the Supervising Pharmacist to ensure full compliance with PSI and HSE regulations.
Maintain strong standards in stock control, cash handling, and audit readiness.
Ensure company SOPs are followed across all areas of the store.
What We're Looking For Proven experience managing a retail store or similar customer-facing business.
Strong leadership skills and a track record of developing teams.
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage store performance.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience in pharmacy, healthcare retail, FMCG, or convenience retail is an advantage.
Desirable Business or management qualification.
Retail or operations management training.
Leadership development certification.
