About Your New Job
As a Category Manager, you will analyze direct material supplier spend data to identify opportunities for long-term total cost optimization.
You will benchmark suppliers, manage RFQs, and evaluate partners to ensure the best price, quality, lead time, and supply reliability.
Lead supplier negotiations and contract execution, support strategic sourcing initiatives and maintain sourcing databases.
Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers/components and drive additional projects based on evolving business needs.
You will manage multiple projects across various production sites, working with diverse teams and adapting to multiple software systems.
What Skills You Need
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a similar field).
5–10 years' experience in Sourcing/Category Management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to build category strategies and negotiate based on global commodity/market trends.
Advanced skills in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables) and proficiency in MS PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (e.g., CAD).
Excellent communication skills, project management abilities, and a self-starter mindset.
