Overview
Carlow College, St. Patrick’s is seeking applications for the position of Lecturer in Psychology. The Lecturer will deliver face-to-face lectures and tutorials in a range of Psychology modules. The Lecturer may be asked to contribute to evening courses planned for the 2025-26 academic year and may be required to undertake additional modules in line with workload allocation and the business operations of the college. This is a full-time, one-year contract with possibility of renewal. Successful candidates will be expected to attend on campus for lectures and meetings. Carlow College has a hybrid working policy.
Responsibilities
* Teach primarily on the BA (Hons) in Psychology, delivering face-to-face lectures and tutorials on a range of modules.
* Supervise undergraduate research dissertations.
* May contribute to evening courses for the 2025-26 academic year and may undertake additional modules as required by workload allocation and college operations.
* Attend on campus for lectures and meetings as required.
Qualifications
* PSI accredited undergraduate degree in Psychology (essential).
* PhD (or working towards a PhD) in Psychology (essential).
* Teaching experience in Higher Education (preferred).
