As the Senior Manager: Business Partnering you will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, fostering business partnerships, and supporting the financial aspects of major transformation programs. In particular, you will be required to partner with the Group Functions Senior leaders as they lead and transform their functions, acting as a robust and practical sounding board as they optimize their cost base and maximise ROI and efficiency initiatives alongside the broader transformation change agenda. Flutter’s ambitions are to build a best-in-class function and as such, require benchmarking against other high performing companies to ensure Flutter achieves and maintains cost efficiency in the upper quartile. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing financial leadership, strategic guidance and operational support to Flutter Edge Transformation Programs including Procurement, Gaming, Product and Global Trading.
What you’ll do
* Build strong relationships with group functions including adapting financial strategies to the dynamic nature of the Company.
* Act as a financial advisor to business leaders, navigating the challenges and opportunities inherent in the sector.
* Build out insights to drive effective decision making
* Present and deliver insights to senior stakeholders with clear data driven insights
* Proactively identify industry-specific risks and opportunities impacting financial performance.
* Engage with group budget holders, providing insights into industry trends and challenges, and ensuring budgets align with strategic objectives.
* Challenge assumptions with an understanding of the unique financial considerations in the gaming and betting sector.
* Actively participate in group decision-making, providing industry-specific financial perspectives.
* Drive financial outcomes aligned with the ever-evolving goals of our gaming and betting organization.
* Drive the delivery of the forecasting and budgeting cycles, considering the dynamic nature of the industry that the Company operates in.
* Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to optimize financial planning processes.
* Evaluate investment cases for operational group functions within the Company, optimizing returns in a rapidly evolving market.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial strategies with industry trends.
* Contribute to the development of long-term plans and long-range plans, incorporating industry-specific considerations.
* Provide financial insights to support strategic planning efforts within the Company and industry.
* Report on month-end reporting activities, Address variances and discrepancies
* Approval of PO’s: review & approve purchase orders.
* Provide support in the approvals for headcount-related decisions.
* Oversee capital expenditure, Monitor capital projects with industry-specific financial insights and recommendations.
* Financial modelling of new business opportunities & business case creation
* Improving and standardising reporting in group functions
* Supporting investor relations with a compelling narrative on group functions value creation activities
What You’ll Need
* 5+ years of post-qualified experience, with significant business partnering experience.
* Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse collaborators.
* Excellent storytelling and PowerPoint skills.
* Strategic approach with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy of the organization.
* In-depth understanding of SEC reporting requirements, regulations, and transformation program finance preferred.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent certification.
