NHS Highland has a vacancy for a Locum Appointment for Dental Core Training in Oral Surgery, Orthodontics and Special Care Dentistry.
This post is based at Raigmore Hospital.
This post is suitable for a trainee seeking additional training/ experience in a range or specific aspects of dental specialities and the time table will be tailored to successful applicant's career aspirations and training needs. Oral Surgery and Orthodontic departments are based in the Out- patient department of Raigmore Hospital. Inverness Dental Centre, which houses the main primary care unit is situated within the same campus.
Inverness is well served by air, rail and road which uniquely allow quick and easy access to the wild and spectacular scenery in the Highlands.
Applicants should note that these posts give access to training/educational events, a study budget and the opportunity to complete supervised learning events. However, the post holder will not be subject to the review of competence progression (RCP) process and the post cannot be considered as a formal Dental Core Training post for future career progression. There is flexibility within the weekly time table for the successful applicant to gain experience required to support future career aspirations
