What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety, quality, and compliance systems.
* Managing HACCP systems, regulatory and certification audits, and ensuring robust SOPs and quality assurance programmes are in place.
* Championing a strong food safety culture through training, coaching, and mentoring staff.
* Conducting regular audits, inspections, and reviews to maintain best-in-class quality standards.
* Taking ownership of customer relationships, resolving quality issues effectively, and ensuring continuous improvement.
* Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
* Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene policies are met at all times.
* Conduct microbiological and chemical sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
* A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
* Proven track record in technical or quality management within food manufacturing.
* Hands-on experience in microbiological and chemical sampling of raw materials and finished products.
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
* Strong ability to manage and maintain technical product specifications across multiple categories.
* Expertise in ensuring ingredient labelling and declarations are fully compliant with EU & UK legislation.
* Natural leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, train, and develop teams.
* Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
* Proficiency in quality management systems and reporting tools.
