About Us:
The Independent Theatre Workshop (ITW) is a busy family run professional performing arts school dedicated to developing the talents of young performers.
Our programs in drama, dance, singing and musical theatre offer students a platform to explore their creativity and enhance their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Our singing department is especially popular with over 100 singing classes a week already fully booked we are looking to add additional classes to facilitate the demand.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching singing classes to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music and encouraging vocal development.
Classes may include individual lessons, group sessions, and musical theatre workshops.
There is room for development for the right candidate; as a successful teacher can expand their teaching hours and there is also the potential for the role of Head of Singing at The Independent Theatre Workshop also coming up.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging singing lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Teach vocal techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
Prepare students for performances, showcases, and examinations.
Provide constructive feedback and personalized attention to help students improve their vocal abilities.
Foster a positive and motivating classroom environment.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and enriching curriculum.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during classes.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a singing teacher or vocal coach with expertise in various music styles.
Relevant music or vocal performance qualifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and inspiring students of all ages and abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preparing students for performances and vocal exams.
Familiarity with musical theatre and stage performance.
Schedule:
Part-time hours with flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend classes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €*****-€***** per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
