Junior Radio Engineer
Our clients, a telecoms firm, are looking for a Junior Radio Engineer to join their team. This will be a varied and interesting role involved in the management of the Radio Spectrum. Reporting to the Manager, the Radio Engineer will play a key role in spectrum monitoring and management, and NIR testing. Training and development will be provided.
The Role:
Co-ordinate the ongoing Radio Frequency measurement programme including site selection for planned future surveys.
Development and implementation of enhanced reporting and statistical analysis
GIS mapping of measurement data
Accompany and assist Third party service providers in conducting of measurements in the field
Reviewing and approving submitted reports
Tracking accumulated measurement data on database
Updating documentation where desirable or necessary
Becoming a subject matter expert on NIR.
The Person:
A third-level honours degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Physics, or similar discipline.
Knowledge of radiocommunication systems and radio frequency
6 months plus of professional work experience, ideally in the communications sector, an advantage
Good analytical skills, with attention to detail
A proven ability to apply analytical and critical thinking techniques to solving problems quickly and effectively.
A full, clean, Class B driving licence.
