Job Description
The Sustainability Manager is responsible for develop, implement and manage environmental plans for the Programme. This role is crucial in implementing and managing the Environmental & Sustainability systems.
The role holder will ensure they meet environmental requirements and project specifications. This position requires a collaborative approach, to foster a safety-first culture and promote sustainability, minimising environmental impact.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement plans to minimize environmental and social impact
* Coordinate with workstreams to review sustainability plans
* Set carbon reduction targets and manage waste disposal
* Conduct life cycle assessments and publish findings
* Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in developing environmental plans
* Proven track record of managing environmental and sustainability plans ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the project.
