Spa Manager Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spa Manager to lead our spa operations at Kilkea Castle.
Job Description:
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of 10 therapists and support staff.
* Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to drive individual and collective success.
* Manage staff scheduling, rosters, and holiday planning to ensure optimal coverage and efficient use of resources.
* Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and guest-centric service throughout the spa.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring smooth delivery of treatments and services to meet the highest standards.
* Maintain impeccable cleanliness, safety, and ambiance across all spa areas, adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
* Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction and build loyalty.
* Collaborate with hotel departments to promote integrated guest experiences and drive revenue growth.
* Drive treatment and retail sales through strategic promotions and upselling, leveraging data insights and market trends.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction scores, making informed decisions to optimize business outcomes.
* Develop and implement marketing initiatives in collaboration with hotel marketing teams, showcasing innovative offerings and driving brand awareness.
* Manage spa booking systems and ensure efficient use of treatment rooms, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, staff certifications, and training logs, demonstrating a commitment to quality and accountability.
* Stay updated on wellness trends and introduce innovative offerings, staying ahead of the competition and meeting evolving guest demands.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in spa management within a luxury hospitality setting, with a strong track record of success.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a passion for wellness and a customer-centric approach.
* Excellent organisational and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and make informed business decisions.
* Familiarity with spa booking software and retail systems, with experience in managing complex systems and workflows.
* CIDESCO, CIBTAC, or equivalent qualifications preferred, but not essential.
