At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s growing team based in Kerry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.
Role:
* Carrying out assembly and on-site mechanical installation works associated with wastewater and water treatment plants
* Repair and maintenance of equipment in the Water/Wastewater industry.
* Completing repairs, upgrades and refurbishment works to existing installed systems
* Pump installations, inspections, and general maintenance tasks
* Working with various types of pipework – e.g., PVC, Ductile Iron, SS.
* Support with daily sales of service and spares to customers and support customers with any issues as efficiently as possible
* Complying with all relevant Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work Plans
* Adherence to required standards, policies, and statutory regulations for Health & Safety.
* Completion of daily reports and ensuring company HSQE policies are maintained for all activities.
* Identifying and promoting new ideas and improvements to the business via the appropriate reporting mechanisms.
* Other duties as may arise from time to time that are consistent with the job-holder’s knowledge and skills, and are needed to effectively perform the role
Requirements:
* Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
* Experience in water/wastewater would be a distinct advantage
* Experience of working on pumps and pumping systems, motors, gearboxes, and drive systems
* Experience with chemical handling an advantage but not essential.
* Good IT skills, capable of completing basic reports, emails etc.
* Ability to work on own initiative and make on-site decisions where needed.
* Full Driving License
