Job Advert: Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our client's dynamic team at their impressive production facility.
About the Company:
Our client is a leading producer of fresh food for retailers and brand owners, including Lidl, Tesco, Aldi, and Musgrave.
Duties:
* Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential problems before they escalate.
* Conduct routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including conveyor systems, packing machines, and processing equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations to minimise production interruptions.
* Recognise and conduct repairs on any structural or fabrication issues within a building.
* Collaborate with the production team to address maintenance needs and prioritise repairs based on production schedules.
* Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
* Provide training to production staff on the proper use and care of equipment.
Criteria:
* Certification in a relevant field.
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
* Previous knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and automation is desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Previous knowledge of CMMS is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
* Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and weekends as needed.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
