Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver high-quality results.
The role requires a proactive and flexible approach, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and effective communication. You will be expected to manage priorities effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
You will also be responsible for appointing and supervising contractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant legislation.
Key aspects of the job include:
* Responding to urgent requests from building users for repairs to mechanical and electrical systems and infrastructure.
* Carrying out regular visits to properties to identify and address maintenance issues.
* Managing works orders and tendered projects, including inspecting and instructing contractors.
* Cooperating with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of maintenance projects.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• A HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical & Electrical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience.
OR
• An ONC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical & Electrical engineering, with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualified experience.
OR
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline.
Additionally, you will need to demonstrate:
* Proven ability to achieve challenging targets and objectives through effective team engagement.
* Ability to build high-performance teams, deliver results on time, and solve problems through informed decision-making.
* Ability to promote a strong service delivery culture throughout a large complex organization.
