Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the product documentation strategy for Intel software products. You will develop documentation such as user guides, technical reference manuals, and getting started guides to help software developers quickly start using Intel products. As a technical writer, you will be an integral part of a software product development and release team, working closely with software engineers and other stakeholders to develop content strategies for offline and online use.
You will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify content gaps and develop plans to address them. Attending planning and coordination meetings, you will assess customer requirements and determine suitable content solutions. You will generate product documentation from scratch by understanding product workflows, interfacing with SMEs, or from engineering specifications, and decide on appropriate formats, structures, syntax, and styles, while adhering to legal guidelines.
You will utilize the latest authoring tools and content management systems to create, manage, and publish content. This role requires excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills, and the ability to work with remote teams across different time zones (e.g., Pacific, Central, Eastern US time zones).
