Job Title: Contracts Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Contracts Manager to oversee and manage multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.
The successful candidate will be working on Residential/Commercial/Hospital Projects in Cork.
* Closely involved in communication with all disciplines, Client, Architectural, Engineering, and EHS Practices involved in MMD contracts.
* Develops a detailed program for works including sub-contractors and other disciplines.
* Ensures that adequate resources are available to complete the project within budget and schedule.
* Responsible for coordinating project management construction and engineering team.
* Ensures every member of the Project Team is aware of their roles and responsibilities associated with the project.
* Familiar with the contract and all addendums to the contract relevant to the project.
* Communicates with directors on project progress.
* Sits in on pre-start meetings.
* Exercises control on the financial administration of all construction work to obtain and maintain maximum cost effectiveness.
* Responsible for developing a project risk register and recovery strategy.
* Develops and tracks project labour and trends including weekly project indicators.
* Represents company commercial management.
* Oversees projects cost/revenue control and reports performance and issues weekly reports on same.
* Responsible for developing and implementing project costs and budget.
* Management of procurement and supply chain.
* Develops and manages project communication with all stakeholders via whiteboard meetings.
* Required to represent the Company at meetings with Clients, Subcontractors, and suppliers as required.
* Leads by example in regard to safety to encourage site operatives, clients, and management to buy into the company's ethos and culture.
Requirements:
A degree in Construction, Civil, or Structural Engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction contract management, ideally with a main contractor in Ireland.
Strong understanding of Irish construction regulations, contracts, and building processes.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project), and a solid grasp of budget and financial management.
