Job DescriptionTP Whelehan Son & Company Limited Credit Controller and Customer Service RepresentativeWithin this role, the individual will be responsible for credit control in relation to the debtor's ledger of TP Whelehan Son & Company Limited as well as acting as customer service agent for the company.It is envisaged that the role will be split 50:50 between credit control and customer service - the exact split of the day/week across both operations will evolve from week to week and month to month depending on business requirements and in particular the seasonality of the business.Key Responsibilities:Credit Control:Check customer's credit and approve or deny applications based on company standards and requirementsEnsure customers pay on time and chase any overdue invoicesOperate the credit control system in collaboration with sales and finance teamEnsure cash allocated against correct accounts and ageing analysis is correctImplement debt collection processes when there are any overdue invoices or paymentsWork with sales manager in putting payment plans in place where requiredAgree monthly targets for collection and report on actual versus targetCustomer Service:Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account informationAssist with placement of ordersAttend to incoming calls from customers & sales representativesResolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolutionBuild sustainable relationships of trust with customers through open and interactive communicationProcess credit notes relating to pricing queries, product returns and damagesDaily processing of orders from customers. These may come by email either direct from customer or sales representatives, via telephone or EDI.The successful candidate will be using MS Office, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel as well as SAP and Syspro. You will be working within a team and so will need to be a team player in addition to having the capability of working on your own initiative. This is a varied role which requires a person capable of developing strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.This role is based in Bracetown Business Park, Clonee Rd with parking available.
