Position Summary
The Director, EHSS Performance & Systems Innovation provides strategic leadership for driving EHSS performance and enabling systems innovation across the enterprise. This role is responsible for enhancing EHSS performance measurement and analytics capabilities, including data quality, forward‑looking metrics, and predictive insights that support a proactive, risk‑based EHSS culture. In parallel, the Director defines and leads the long‑term vision for a unified EHSS systems strategy, ensuring platforms deliver accurate, actionable insights aligned with BMS's internal management system requirements. The role governs and prioritizes all EHSS systems and applications, partnering with BI&T and business stakeholders to integrate emerging technologies and optimize digital processes through automation and AI, ultimately improving efficiency and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead EHSS performance enablement across the business, including development of forward‑looking metrics, innovative application of data science, improvement of data quality, and delivery of standardized, actionable reporting.
* Partner with BI&T to apply data science methodologies, drive predictive analytics and develop visualization strategies in support of proactive risk management and performance improvement.
* Define and lead a unified EHSS systems strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, risk priorities, and compliance requirements across all platforms.
* Establish governance frameworks for EHSS systems, including strategic prioritization, lifecycle planning, and performance monitoring.
* Champion innovation and emerging technologies (e.g., automation, AI‑enabled tools) to optimize EHSS systems processes and enhance efficiency across the function.
* Partner with BI&T and other functions to deliver and sustain EHSS systems, enabling robust performance monitoring and reporting.
* Lead the multiyear roadmap for EHSS systems and applications, ensuring strategic integration and continuous improvement.
* Promote a culture of innovation and change readiness across the EHSS function.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, information systems, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in EHSS, systems strategy, or related disciplines within a regulated industry.
* Proven leadership in developing and executing digital strategies across complex, global organizations.
* Experience with AI integration, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives.
* Experience and knowledge on application of data science concepts and statistical methods to power predictive analytics and insights.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
* Professional EHS related certifications (e.g., CIH, CSP, etc.).
Compensation Overview
Devens – MA – US: $197,230 – $239,001
New Brunswick – NJ – US: $179,300 – $217,268
Princeton – NJ – US: $179,300 – $217,268
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full‑time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

On‑Site Protocol
