Responsible for; All areas of the production process and their ancillary operations including warehousing and shipping, meeting customer delivery and quality expectations whilst maximising and continuously improving production efficiencies and minimising costs. Ensuring that all aspects of people management are carried out in line with company policies and procedures. These include following fair process to manage minor employee relations issues, overtime and holiday allocation and conducting performance management, absence management and conducting investigations and disciplinary meetings where necessary. Leading health, safety and welfare - ensuring that all team members are complying with best practice, seeking improvements in our ways of working and adhering to company procedures. Investigating any customer complaints by implementing corrective actions based on root cause analysis Deputising for the Manufacturing Manager when absent. The role is at the heart of the management team, and therefore must show consistence and measurement in decision making, whilst listening to, and respecting team opinion.
