Catering Assistant Job Responsibilities:
* Assist with fundamental food preparation tasks.
* Organize food preparation areas for optimal efficiency.
* Serve breakfast to patients on each ward, collecting empty trays in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with the team to set up and serve food at designated counters.
* Understand daily menu portion control guidelines.
* Maintain counters by replenishing stock and ensuring cleanliness throughout service hours.
* Monitor the temperatures of all food being served to patients.
* Be prepared to undertake additional duties outside of standard responsibilities.
* Adhere to agreed-upon HACCP standards and procedures.
* Document and follow all required cleaning protocols as outlined in kitchen procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
* Possess Garda Vetting clearance.
* Manual Handling training will be provided.
* HACCP certification is essential; training can be provided if necessary.
