As part of a team of over 900, you will be encouraged to learn and to grow, both professionally and personally.About the roleAn opportunity has arisen to join our Dublin office as Risk Assurance LeadReporting to the Head of First Line of Defence – Group Operations, this role provides risk-assurance expertise, oversight and support to all operational units and support functions within Davy Group Operations. The role also acts as a key point of contact between operations and the independent control functions. A strong collaborative and detail-orientated approach to work is vital to succeed in this role.In the role, the successful candidate will:Risk & Control AssuranceDevise and execute monthly risk & control assurance programme.Report findings and monitor agreed remediation steps.Administer, coordinate, and execute the annual Group RCSA Programme for all departments in Operations.Perform reviews of complex areas/issues.Ensure accurate reporting of operational risk events and breaches, and overall maintenance of Group Operation's incident log.Perform root-cause analysis with risk owners as required.Risk Governance and ReportingPerform assurance work on key controls.Monitor and maintain Operation's comprehensive Risk Dashboard.Produce risk MI for local management and senior governance bodies.Act as key point of contact with 2LoD and 3LoD Control Functions (Risk, Compliance, Client Asset Oversight, and Internal Audit).Tracking and reporting actions, ensuring monitored versus agreed deadlines.Assist risk and control owners in updating the Group's risk register and control inventory.Identification of EfficienciesProactively identify operational efficiencies from assurance work undertaken.Assist the first line of defence team in their wider duties as required.About youWe are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:Minimum 2 years experience working in a Risk or Audit department.Experience working in a regulated and compliance-driven environment.Risk Professional Services experience is an advantage.Strong educational background, ideally a Degree in the area of Business or Mathematics or part or fully qualified accountant.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.High levels of personal initiative and proven ability to work independently.Well organised and self-motivated.Demonstrably structured, solution-focused, practical, and collaborative approach to work.Experience with change management programmes and projects an advantage.Knowledge of Financial Products an advantage.What we offerWe offer a range of benefits and experiences to support your professional and personal growth, whatever your career stage.
