Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
The Safety Officer will be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards, monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety laws and internal policies, and investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Additionally, the Safety Officer will maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety training, deliver health and safety training to employees and management, and ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The successful candidate will also coordinate emergency procedures and drills, liaise with regulatory bodies, and participate in audits when required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
* Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role
* Certified Health and Safety Officer (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certification) preferred
