Our client is one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
Our client is currently seeking an Associate Director / Project Director to join the Rail Transportation team based in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Galway office.
We focus on innovative design and technical excellence, fostering a trusted partner approach to delivery with our clients. We are looking for individuals who are creative, organised, self-motivated, and collaborative with experience in delivering multi-disciplinary designs. The candidate would ideally be a Chartered Engineer, with experience delivering schemes from concept to detailed design. The position requires a technical background in engineering as it will be a role working closely with industry leading clients and stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to lead projects of varying size and complexity.
Requirements:
1. Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).
2. Relevant years' postgraduate experience, primarily in a consultancy environment.
3. Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
4. Experience in the delivery of multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects in Ireland/UK or equivalent.
5. Experience of all stages of a project life cycle.
6. Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary design team.
7. Established project leader.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with fellow colleagues, delivery partners and team members to ensure successful results and effective delivery.
9. An awareness of developing technologies and best practice in the industry.
10. Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations).
11. A willingness to develop and build client relationships.
12. Full driving licence.
Responsibilities:
13. Associate Director Project Manager or Project Director role on multi-disciplinary rail projects.
14. Experience managing multi-million euro engineering services consultancy commissions in the rail sector.
15. Experience managing a portfolio of consultancy commissions as Project Director.
16. Contract/Commercial management ownership.
17. Managing the design process.
18. Line management and mentoring of more junior staff.
19. Developing tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.
