Maxi Zoo Ireland are seeking to recruit a Marketing Executive.
This role is a full time position and based at our Head Office located in Ballincollig, Co.
Cork.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, results-driven Marketing Executive with a strong focus on social media marketing to join our team.
This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social Media and who has a passion for creating content that captures attention, builds community, and drives engagement.
You'll be responsible for executing and optimising our social media strategy, creating engaging content, managing paid and organic campaigns, and reporting on performance across platforms.
You'll play a key role in growing our brand presence and driving awareness across a wide range of digital touchpoints.
Social will involve approx.
75% of your role, with 25% allocated to other responsibilities outlined in Job spec but not exhaustive.
Skills
1. Social Media Marketing
In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok platforms
Experience with content scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite,, Brandwatch)
Strong understanding of platform-specific trends, features, and best practices
Ability to grow and engage followers through organic and paid strategies
2. Content Creation
Ability to create or coordinate engaging photo, video, and written content
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills tailored to each platform
Understanding of visual design tools or principles (Canva, Adobe Suite, Capcut)
Experience with short-form video content, especially TikTok Reels and Instagram Stories
3. Campaign Management
Planning and executing social media campaigns aligned with marketing goals
Budget management for paid ads (especially Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads)
A/B testing, performance tracking, and ROI analysis
4. Analytics & Reporting
Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics)
Ability to extract actionable insights and optimize campaigns accordingly
5. Community Management
Experience managing online communities and responding to followers' comments/messages
Managing brand reputation and engagement in real-time across platforms
6. Internal Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination
Liaising with sales team to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives
Managing local customer complaints in line with local procedures, escalating when necessary
Managing the internal communications platform, including onboarding staff and sharing updates
Compiling and distributing monthly internal marketing updates to store teams
Overseeing and updating the charity master file, and driving new CSR initiatives
Proofreading and approving POS materials and other marketing documents to ensure brand consistency and accuracy
Local coordination of campaigns from European support centre
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing social media platforms for a brand, company or agency
Proven ability to create engaging and effective content tailored to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn
Strong understanding of social media algorithms, engagement tactics, and content trends
Experience managing paid social advertising campaigns (especially Meta and TikTok)
Confident using content scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite,, Brandwatch)
Excellent writing, grammar, and visual communication skills
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
Clear and confident communicator with the ability to present marketing plans and insights to stakeholders
Desirable Skills (Nice to have but not mandatory)
Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
Experience working with influencers
Familiarity with SEO and how social media integrates with broader digital marketing strategies
Experience using social listening or analytics tools (e.g. Brandwatch)
A portfolio or examples of successful campaigns, posts, or content (highly preferred)
