We have an ambitious business plan and sales strategy to significantly grow business over the next three years and as a result we are now recruiting an Event Executive who will be responsible for delivering meetings and events within the stadium. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Home of the GAA, Croke Park Stadium is Irelands foremost sporting and entertainment venue.Over1,500,000 visitors are welcomed annually to national and international events and the Croke Parkcampusalsofeatures CrokeParkMeetings &Events andGAAMuseum&Tours.
Role Profile
An opportunity now arises for an Event Executive to join the Croke Park Meeting & Events team.Theroleholdershallbeacreativeandenthusiasticpersonwhoenjoysworkingwithpeople.Theywill be keen to learn and get involved in all aspects of the event journey. They will work well with thewiderteamtodelivermeetings andevents withinthestadium.
The Events Executive will report directly to the Meeting & Events Department Manager.
Responsibilities
Theroleholderwillberesponsibleforperformingthefollowingtasksto thehigheststandards:
* Act as the main point of contact for events once they are contracted by the SalesRepresentative.
* Conduct Site Inspections and Pre-Event meetings with clients, including our AV and Cateringteam, ensuringtheeventismanaged from beginningtoend.
* WorkonEventOrders andsubmitcateringdetails aweekbeforetheeventdate.
* The Event Coordinator would meet & greet clients on the event day, presence required onthefloor at events.
* Interact with guests and conference organisers to maintain feedback on product quality andservice standards.
* Accounting ensure client deposits are received pre-event date and finalise post eventinvoicing.
* Work closely with the catering team on food and beverage offerings and be up to date oncateringtrends.
* Assist with event cover on weekdays and weekends, the 8-hour working day could bebetween7am11pm.
* Continually develop new knowledge and skills to ensure best practice events delivery.
The role holder will also undertake any other such projects or responsibilities as may reasonably bedelegatedby his/hermanager.
Essential Criteria
* 3rdLevelqualificationinbusiness/orhospitality;
* Aminimumof2yearsexperienceinacustomer facingrole;

* ExcellentadministrativeandITskills(MicrosoftOffice);

Desirable Criteria
* KnowledgeoftheGAAandCroke Park Stadium;
* A strong working knowledge of a Property Management Software system (Delphi, Opera,Events500);
* KnowledgeofCroke ParkMeetingsandEventsofferings.
