Skills Provision is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established company in County Cork, Ireland.
With over 50 years of successful operation, our client has become a leading provider within the Irish construction industry. This role offers an immediate start for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Conducting planned preventative maintenance and repairs on HGVs
* Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues
* Carrying out mandatory 12-week vehicle inspections
* Servicing and maintaining all vehicles within the fleet
* Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
* Ensuring all vehicles comply with relevant safety and operational standards
* Attending training courses as required to stay up to date with industry developments
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations
* Travelling between company sites as needed
Requirements
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
* Experience working on Volvo and Scania trucks is preferred
* A valid Category B (car) driving licence is essential; a Category C licence would be advantageous
* Knowledge of auto-electrical and hydraulic systems would be beneficial
* Proficiency in the English language
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* A proactive, hardworking, and reliable attitude
