Job Description:
Our client, a leading Mechanical Contractor, is seeking a skilled Test-Pack Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale pharmaceutical project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering product requirements, inspecting raw materials and machinery, and monitoring production stages to ensure safety procedures are followed. They will also develop test environments and test cases for mechanical and electrical systems, analyze test results, and suggest fixes and improvements.
This role requires excellent organizational and project planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with a recognized Mechanical/Electrical contractor and be proficient in the use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Gathering product requirements (e.g. functionalities, speed, safety standards)
- Inspecting raw materials and machinery to identify defects and malfunctions
- Monitoring all production stages to ensure safety procedures are followed
- Running quality controls on components and final products
- Developing test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems
- Analyzing test results, detecting issues and tracking root causes
- Suggesting fixes and improvements
- Documenting technical issues and solutions
- Building automated testing systems for regular checks
- Ensuring our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO)
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience working with a recognized Mechanical/Electrical contractor
- Excellent organizational and project planning skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficient in the use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions
- Familiar with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process
- Good knowledge of piping/mechanical pipework
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
