The Fund Accounting Manager will manage a team in a high-growth area of SEI. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, internally within the Fund Accounting department, and across the organization. Candidates must have an advanced understanding of Alternative fund structures and related investment types. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their team and managing a portfolio of clients.
What you’ll do:
1. Serve as the primary senior point of contact for clients on accounting matters.
2. Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate NAVs.
3. Maintain high standards of client service and resolve queries promptly.
4. Conduct root cause analysis for issues and ensure effective remediation.
5. Lead or participate in department initiatives and group projects, particularly those related to operational improvements.
6. Adhere to all procedures and controls.
7. Manage resource planning within the team, collaborating with other departments.
8. Train, coach, and mentor new employees; develop and motivate team members.
9. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, third parties, and other functional groups.
10. Represent SEI and present Administrator’s reports at Fund Board Meetings as needed.
11. Review fund documents before new fund launches, identifying operational issues and risks.
12. Provide subject matter expertise to support new business initiatives.
What you bring to the table:
1. At least 10 years’ experience in Alternative funds, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role. Some experience in private markets is preferred.
2. Experience working with Fund Accounting systems, preferably Investran and/or Geneva.
3. Strong knowledge of Alternative fund structures, fund domiciles, regulatory requirements, and performance calculations.
4. Experience reviewing and interpreting fund/fee documentation.
5. Proven coaching and mentoring skills.
6. Strong data management capabilities.
7. ACCA qualification is preferred but not essential.
8. A curious mindset and ability to implement change.
