A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex projects across Ireland is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Limerick. With a well-established presence in the industry and a busy pipeline of major civil and infrastructure works, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a high-performing and professional team. Responsibilities: Overseeing all quantity surveying aspects of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account. Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and valuations. Leading the procurement process including subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and management. Managing project variations, change orders, and ensuring timely agreement of accounts. Producing accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts. Providing commercial guidance and leadership to junior staff. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure financial targets and project timelines are achieved. Ensuring compliance with contract terms, conditions, and statutory requirements. Supporting risk management processes and contract administration. Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing the full commercial cycle of medium to large-scale projects. Excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract and procurement routes. Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills. Proficient in relevant software including Microsoft Office and cost management tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively. Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently while supporting wider project goals.
