Postdoctoral Researcher In Solar Astrophysics
Solar Astrophysics Research Opportunity
The School of Physical Sciences at Dublin City University invites applications for a four-year postdoctoral position in the field of solar astrophysics.
* The successful candidate will work closely with Dr David Long and his team to investigate plasma fractionation processes in the low solar atmosphere.
* Utilizing observations from space-based missions such as Hinode/EIS, IRIS, and Solar Orbiter SPICE, you will develop novel machine learning techniques to examine archival data and predict spectroscopic signatures associated with energetic seed particle populations.
This project is funded through the Research Ireland Frontiers for the Future Project "SEP Origins". The role requires independent research projects skills as well as strong teamwork abilities. You can expect collaboration opportunities, supervision responsibilities, teaching opportunities plus presenting international conferences.
