Job Description Technical Support Engineer Level 2 - Midlands near Nass, Kildare, Newbridge Tullamore, Portarlington, Mullingar, Enfield, Edenderry etc We're working with a well-established Microsoft Partner Managed Service Provider (MSP) who are looking to hire a Senior Technical Support Engineer (Level 2) to join their technical support team.
This role is hands-on and customer-facing, supporting a portfolio of SME clients across Microsoft cloud and on-prem environments.
You'll deal with escalated issues from Level 1, take ownership of complex tickets, and work closely with senior engineers and management on improvements to systems and processes.
This is a true MSP role — fast-paced, varied, and ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving problems across multiple client environments rather than supporting a single internal network.
Key Responsibilities Act as a Level 2 escalation point for technical issues across multiple client environments Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Windows Server Administer and support Microsoft 365 tenants (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows services Deploy and manage devices using Intune / Endpoint Manager Support and troubleshoot Windows 11 desktop and laptop environments Assist with Azure (Azure AD / Entra ID, virtual machines, backups, basic networking) Support and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and network connectivity issues Work with ticketing systems, ensuring accurate documentation and SLA adherence Identify recurring issues and contribute to process and documentation improvements Occasionally assist with project work (migrations, upgrades, onboarding new clients) Requirements Required Experience Skills Proven experience working in an MSP environment (this is essential) Strong hands-on experience as a Level 2 Technical Support Engineer Solid experience with: Microsoft 365 Administration Active Directory Group Policy Intune / Endpoint Manager Windows 11 Windows Server Azure administration Firewalls, VPNs, and networking fundamentals Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently Comfortable dealing directly with end-users and client stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice to Have (Not Essential) Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-102, AZ-900, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Partner MSP tools (RMM, PSA, backup platforms) Exposure to security tools (Defender, MFA, Conditional Access) Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers (Level 1) Benefits Why Apply?
