We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Cork.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical OversightConduct regular design and technical reviews to ensure structural steel, cladding, and associated building works meet project requirements and industry standards.Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors to resolve design or construction challenges.Site SupervisionOversee daily site activities, including subcontractor supervision and monitoring work progress.Ensure all works are executed in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Promote a culture of safety and compliance across all site operations.Project Management & DeliveryManage projects or key project elements from planning to completion, including resourcing, scheduling, and cost control.Ensure safe and efficient erection of structural steel, installation of cladding systems, and completion of all associated building works.Quality ControlImplement and enforce site quality procedures.Conduct inspections of steelwork, cladding, and finishes.Identify nonconformities and ensure corrective actions are applied promptly.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to health and safety legislation and company HSQE procedures.Conduct regular site inspections and implement risk mitigation measures.Promote a safety-first culture among site teams and subcontractors.Commissioning & HandoverOversee completion, testing, and final inspections of structural and building elements.Ensure handover documentation meets client requirements and standards.Coordination & CollaborationLiaise effectively with design teams, consultants, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and site issues.Maintain clear communication to ensure smooth project delivery.Subcontractor ManagementPrepare scopes of work and manage subcontractor performance.Ensure subcontractors deliver work in line with project requirements, quality, and timelines.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of drawings, inspections, progress reports, and handover documentation.Provide timely updates to project managers on site progress, issues, and resolutions.Project SupportAssist in site investigations, design coordination, and planning for civil, structural, and building works.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel, cladding, and building works.Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team management abilities.Full clean Irish/EU driving license.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €43,093.80-€81,190.47 per yearWork Location: In person
