Position Overview
Are you ready to lead a talented team at our state‑of‑the‑art biologics facility in Dunboyne? We’re looking for an experienced QC Biochemistry and Cell Biology Lead to join our Quality Control team. In this role you will help establish our laboratory as a centre of excellence for specialised analytical testing, guide your team through laboratory start‑up, new product introductions and analytical technology transfers, and help shape a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire, hire, coach and develop a high‑performing Quality Control team while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Provide technical expertise in Biochemistry and Cell Biology methods, including ELISAs, PCR, bioassays, cell culture and viral/mycoplasma testing.
Drive excellence by championing continuous improvement, using problem‑solving skills to enhance processes and ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
Ensure compliance, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety and meeting all regulatory requirements.
Collaborate across functions to boost efficiency, solve challenges and support new products, encouraging innovative approaches.

Qualifications

A degree in Science, Quality or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Proven experience leading a team and managing laboratory operations.
In‑depth knowledge of cGMP and global regulations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information clearly to team members and senior leadership.
A continuous‑improvement mindset with strong prioritisation skills.
A flexible, self‑motivated approach to work.
