Overview
An Irish Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join a major €50m heritage restoration and redevelopment project in County Mayo. This landmark project combines the restoration and refurbishment of protected structures with significant new build elements, public realm improvements, infrastructure upgrades, landscaping works and visitor facilities. This is a site‑based position where you will work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager and wider project team to ensure the successful delivery of a complex construction project to the highest standards of quality, safety and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all engineering aspects of the project, ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme.
Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works in line with project milestones.
Carry out and supervise setting out, surveying, and quality control checks across key phases of the project.
Assist with the management of technical queries, design coordination, and site documentation.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience as an Engineer with an Irish Main Contractor.
Strong setting out experience on large scale building projects.
Experience working on large scale refurbishment or restoration projects is advantageous.
Package
Salary will depend on experience, but an experienced Senior Site Engineer can expect a salary in the region of €75,000 – €80,000, plus vehicle, fuel card, matched pension and bonus.
