Location: Windward Management Limited, 19/20 Fleet Street

About The Fleet

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.

Role Responsibilities

Reports To: Financial Controller / General Manager

Job Summary

The Hotel Accountant is responsible for assisting with management of the hotel’s financial records, ensuring accurate financial reporting, handling & reporting at Hotel & Group level. This role involves working closely with the Financial Controller to maintain financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting:


* End to end income audit - cash, cc and bank reconciliation
* End to end income audit - cash, cc and bank reconciliation
* Creditor Control – Procure Wizard orders, invoice processing
* Accounts payable – coding, reconciliations, raising /responding to suppliers’ queries
* Payroll
* Assisting with month-end accounts
* Assisting with Group reporting

Accounts Payable & Receivable

* Process invoices & payments, .
* Ensure accurate and timely billing for guests and corporate accounts.
* Follow up on outstanding payments and manage debt collection efforts.

Payroll & Tax Compliance

* Process employee payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
* Assist with tax filings, VAT returns, and other financial obligations.

Audit & Compliance

* Assist in preparing financial documents for internal and external audits.

System & Software Management

* Use accounting software (e.g., HotSoft, MicroPay, Procure Wizard for financial reporting.
* Ensure accurate data entry and maintain financial system integrity.

Qualifications

Qualified / Part Qualified with a Professional Accounting body; or

Relevant 3rd Level Qualification; or

Developed accounting skills through previous employment

Experience

A proven track record, ideally in the hotel sector

Experience using Sage & Excel essential

Requirements

* Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
* Attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to take instruction, and communicate same effectively with others
* Computer literate with a high-level understanding of Excel & Sage (and ideally Procure Wizard)
