You will act as a key scientific bridge between the external medical community and internal teams, supporting education, evidence generation, and strategic decision-making across the lifecycle of rare disease therapies.Key ResponsibilitiesScientific Exchange & Stakeholder EngagementServe as the primary scientific contact for KOLs, specialist physicians, and rare disease centres of excellenceDeliver fair, balanced, and non-promotional scientific exchange on disease areas and therapeutic optionsGather high-quality medical insights to inform clinical development, medical strategy, and future planningBuild and maintain strong, credible relationships with patient advocacy groups and specialist networksMedical Education & Launch ExcellenceProvide medical leadership and support for advisory boards, congresses, and educational initiativesDevelop and deliver high-impact scientific presentations tailored to rare disease audiencesAct as a scientific expert across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phasesIdentify and engage early adopters, KOLs, and centres of excellence to drive disease and therapy awarenessDeliver medical training to cross-functional internal teams (commercial, market access, patient advocacy) to ensure launch readinessClinical Research & Evidence GenerationSupport investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and company-sponsored clinical trialsIdentify potential trial sites and collaborate closely with investigatorsProvide real-world insights into unmet need, standard of care, and patient journey in rare diseasesCompliance & GovernanceEnsure all activities are conducted in line with company policies, local regulations, and ethical standardsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of scientific interactions and field activityAct as a trusted scientific resource while maintaining strict non-promotional boundariesAbout YouEducation & ExperienceAdvanced scientific degree ( PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc in Life Sciences or related field )Minimum 2–3 years' experience in Medical Affairs or clinical research (MSL, CRA, or academic research)Previous experience in Rare Diseases, Specialty, or Ultra-Orphan medicines highly desirableStrong understanding of clinical development, trial design, and evidence-based medicineSkills & CompetenciesAbility to interpret, synthesise, and communicate complex scientific data clearlyStrong relationship-building and networking capability with KOLs and HCPsConfident communicator, able to tailor messages for clinical and non-clinical audiencesStrategic mindset with appreciation of access, regulatory, and healthcare system challenges in rare diseasesHigh integrity, compliance-focused, and self-motivatedComfortable working independently in a field-based role with significant travelKey Performance IndicatorsStrength and quality of KOL relationshipsValue and impact of field-generated medical insightsSupport of clinical research and evidence generationDelivery of high-quality, compliant scientific educationTimely and accurate reporting of medical activitiesLocation & TravelField-based role with approximately 70% travel within territoryOccasional international travel for congresses, investigator meetings, and training
