Business Development Manager
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for managing existing retail accounts and securing new business opportunities through services like Tax Free Sales, Dynamic Currency Choice, and Media products.
The successful candidate will have the confidence and professionalism to engage with senior contacts within target businesses, from executives to individual store staff. Building and maintaining strong relationships will be key to success in this role.
As Business Development Manager, you will actively seek out new business opportunities, establishing connections with key decision-makers within target companies. This will involve using all available tools to gather important information. Additionally, you will schedule meetings with these contacts and present tailored proposals that highlight the value Global Blue can offer. Strong negotiation skills, the ability to handle objections, and a natural flair for closing deals will be crucial to securing new business.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Build strong & close relationships with existing clients
2. Deliver agreed business targets
3. Fulfill account-specific contractual obligations
4. Develop and manage a new business pipeline
5. Collaborate with the Global Blue Technology team to create, deliver, and implement POS or PSP developments and other technology solutions
6. Coordinate store staff training activities within existing & new accounts
7. Manage relationships with UK POS companies and work with them to generate new business leads
8. Work with the Payments team to drive new business from partner companies
9. Negotiate account contracts
10. Manage customer relationships
11. Accurately use the Global Blue CRM system to capture opportunities, plan, record, and report activity

Business Knowledge/Educational Background
* Genuine sales talent with proven results orientation, passion, and determination
* Proven new business hunter, ideally in retail accounts
* Strong written and spoken English
* University degree preferred
Experience
* At least 2 years of proven experience in Business Development, ideally within Retail Services, Acquiring, or Payment Services
