Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular maintenance on existing systems and develop maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance.
2. Conduct diagnosis, calibration, and repair of plant, equipment, facilities, and utilities.
3. Troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Conduct routine and on-the-spot tests of mechanical and electrical systems.
5. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain safety standards and protocols.
6. Prepare cost analysis reports for machinery maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
7. Provide training to junior technicians as needed.
8. Track usage of tools and parts, and reorder items as required.
9. Execute preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks.
10. Conduct investigations and root cause analysis for maintenance issues.
11. Document all maintenance activities, including faults, breakdowns, and recommendations.
12. Participate in project work and ensure availability of electrical and mechanical spares.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
13. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
14. Attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately.
15. Leadership skills to guide and support team members.
16. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with all departments.
17. Proficiency in interpreting schematics and blueprints.
18. Fluency in English.
19. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements:
20. Trade qualification as a fitter (mechanical or electrical).
21. Understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, and automation.
22. Experience in production maintenance.
