Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Emergency Department
About the Role:
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, coordinating and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.
Main responsibilities include quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality patient care by implementing evidence-based practices and monitoring outcomes.
* Resource Management: Oversee efficient use of resources, including personnel, supplies, and equipment.
* Staffing and Staff Development: Develop and implement strategies for staff recruitment, retention, and growth.
* Practice Development: Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in clinical practice.
* Communication and Leadership: Facilitate effective communication among teams and demonstrate professional and clinical leadership.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Statutory Registration: Must be registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
2. Professional Qualifications: Possess relevant qualifications and experience in nursing and leadership.
3. Experience: Have at least 5 years post-registration experience, with 2 years in the specialty or related area.
4. Clinical, Managerial, and Administrative Capacity: Demonstrate the ability to discharge the functions of the role effectively.
5. Continuous Professional Development: Show evidence of ongoing professional growth and development.
Annual Registration:
1. Maintain Live Annual Registration: Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives.
2. Confirm Annual Registration: Confirm annual registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate.
Post-Specific Requirements:
Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in respiratory nursing, including care of the elderly as relevant to the role.
